A planetary nebula in the constellation of Gemini, NGC
2392 is called "The Eskimo Nebula" because of it's
characteristic features. Discovered by William Herschel
in 1787, the Eskimo lies at a distance of about 3000 light
years. It is also one of the youngest planetaries with a
probable age of 1700 years. Pictor 1616XT with the 16"
LX200 at f/10. Exposure data; 1 minute in red, 5 minutes in
green, and 5 minutes in blue.
