All Meade telescopes, mySKY™, spotting scopes, microscopes and
accessories are warranted by Meade Instruments Corp. (MIC)
to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period
of ONE YEAR from date of original retail purchase in
the U.S.A. MIC will repair or replace the product, or part
thereof, found upon inspection by MIC to be defective, provided
the defective part or product is returned to MIC, freight
prepaid, with proof of purchase. This warranty applies to
the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. Meade
products purchased outside North America are not included
in this warranty, but are covered under separate warranties
issued by Meade International
Distributors.
RGA Number Required: Prior to the return of any product
or part, a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number must
be obtained by writing to Meade's Customer
Service Department or by calling 800-626-3233. Each
returned part or product must include a written statement
detailing the nature of the claimed defect, as well as the
owner's name, address, phone number, and a copy of the original
sales invoice.
This warranty is not valid in cases where the product has
been abused or mishandled, where unauthorized repairs have
been attempted or performed, or where depreciation of the
product is due to normal wear-and-tear. MIC specifically disclaims
special, indirect, or consequential damages or lost profits,
which may result from a breach of this warranty. Any implied
warranties which cannot be disclaimed are hereby limited to
a term of one year from the date of purchase by the original
retail purchaser.
This warranty gives you specific rights. You may have other
rights which vary from state to state.
MIC reserves the right to change product specifications
or to discontinue products without prior notice.
This warranty supersedes all previous Meade product warranties.
What if I modify my Meade product in some way - does
this void the warranty?
The simple answer is yes. As with virtually all companies,
this has always been our policy and will remain our policy.
Notwithstanding, Meade Instruments prides itself on customer
service and trying to find a fair and equitable solution to
every problem. If, upon inspection of any Meade product, we
find that the product failed due to a defect in materials
or workmanship within the warranty period (and all other requirements
relating to the warranty are satisfied (i.e., original purchaser,
proof of purchase, etc.)), and such failure, in our opinion,
was not due to the modification(s), then we will repair or
replace the defective product, or part thereof, in accordance
with the warranty.
In addition, if a Meade product has been modified, and such
modification, in our opinion, contributed in some way to the
product's failure, then we will make every reasonable effort
to work with the customer, on a case by case basis, to resolve
the problem for a reasonable fee. |

Every Meade binocular is
warranted by Meade Instruments Corp.

Repair Terms & Conditions
In the event that your Meade
binocular requires servicing, please
follow this procedure:
- Carefully package your binocular
to avoid shipping damage; use
a thick-walled carton box for
mailing.
Enclose a written statement
detailing the exact nature
of the service needed. Be sure
to include your name, address,
plus daytime and evening telephone
numbers.
Enclose $10.00 to cover handling
and return-shipping, by check
or money order payable to "Meade
Instruments." Warranty servicing
will not be performed without
receipt of this handling and shipping
charge. Non-warranty repairs may
entail additional charges which
will be confirmed with you before
any binocular repairs are initiated.
