During the day I’m a teacher, but at night I like to look up at the stars and wonder about my place in everything. As a child, my family taught me to question everything. So I naturally leaned toward science and astronomy as I got older. I remember the first time I sat down to watch Cosmos on PBS as a boy. When I saw the wonders of the universe for myself I was instantly hooked.

Growing up, I would browse the Hubble Space Telescope archive and be left in awe by the amazing galaxies and nebulae it captured. When I found out I could capture images like that myself I knew that I had to go down the rabbit hole and delve into this hobby called astrophotography. I started a social media account to share my images and get constructive criticism from other photographers and peers. Now I hope to share my love of the universe with everyone and encourage people of all ages to look up at the sky and think about the bigger picture. I want people to be excited about space and astronomy. I believe that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. Like Carl Sagan said, “We are a way for the universe to know itself. Some part of our being knows this is where we came from. We long to return. And we can, because the cosmos is also within us. We're made of star-stuff”.
