Use as a stand-alone mount or maximize your viewing potential with any of the following quality optical tube options: 5” Achromat, 6” & 8” Newtonian Reflectors, or a 6” Maksutov-Cassegrain. The Meade LX70 Series is the perfect choice for the cultivated observer looking to chase deep-sky objects such as galaxies, star clusters, nebulae, and more. With an available dual-axis motor drive system and optional polar scope finder, Meade’s LX70 Series will keep you looking up for many years to come.

PRECISION SLOW-MOTION CONTROLS

With brass worm-gear drives, you can ensure smooth tracking performance. Large slow-motion control knobs allow you to easily track the objects of the night sky. Precision push-pull adjustments, in both azimuth and elevation, make aligning on the celestial pole simple. The elevation’s built-in micrometer scale will help you dial in your site latitude quickly every time. The LX70 mount includes a Vixen-style dovetail for mounting optical tubes up to 20lbs for added versatility.

VERSATILE OPTICAL TUBES

With the LX70 series, changing optical tubes is effortless. Whatever your observing style, the LX70 has a scope for you. Choose from a 5” refractor or a 6” Maskutov-Cassegrain for lunar and planetary viewing, 6” reflector for versatility, or the awesome 8” Newtonian for outstanding deep-sky views. The universe is too grand to be confined to one optical tube.
