I got these to view the solar eclipse and they worked great. It was amazing getting a close look. And it works great to view the moon at night also! (Posted on 8/27/2017)

Meade thank you so much, the Eclipse has not event started yet but my experience is going to be awesome. I have been prepping the Binoculars the last couple of days with views of the sun (with the solar covers on of course) and it is magnificent. I can see the sunspots with amazing clarity. Thank you for an amazing product! Looking forward to April 2024 with my Eclipseview Binoculars! Thank you for such an amazing experience! (Posted on 8/21/2017)

These are basically regular full size 10x50 binoculars that come with easily removable solar filters. I've tested them and they work great. Finding the sun is kind of tricky since the view is total blackness until you find the sun. But once it's in view, it is very clear and big. I even saw sun spots! I can't wait to use them for the upcoming solar eclipse. You can also use them as regular binoculars (sports, birding, etc). The optics are really sharp and clear and compares well to my (more expensive) Nikon 10x50 binoculars. They feel high quality and have a sort of rubberized coating. I'm surprised that they haven't sold out of these yet. There are other eclipse binoculars (e.g. Lunt 8x32 "sunoculars") but those will run you almost double the price at $129. Time is running out. The eclipse is coming! 8-21-17!!!! (Posted on 8/10/2017)
