Meade T-Adapter for Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes

This Meade T-Adapter is a Schmidt-Cassegrain style telescope adapter designed for prime focus photography. It is compatible with all Meade ACF telescopes as well as Schmidt-Cassegrain designs that utilize a standard Schmidt-Cassegrain type rear cell thread.

The T-Adapter threads directly onto the rear cell of the telescope, replacing the visual back eyepiece holder. It provides a standard 42mm photographic T-thread (male) to which many imaging cameras will attach directly. For DSLR and mirrorless cameras a T-ring is required, ordered separately for your particular camera brand.

The appropriate optional T-ring will thread onto the T-threads of the anodized aluminum T-Adapter, and will have a bayonet-mount unique to the user's brand of DSLR camera on the opposing side. In this way the camera body is rigidly coupled to the telescope's optical system, which in effect becomes the camera's lens.
