Bright and sharp with tons of light gathering power, the Meade 20x80 Astro Binoculars are among the best valued binoculars for star gazing. Enjoy the high-end features that observers look for such as fully multi-coated lenses, BAK-4 porro prisms, and long eye relief — all while maintaining a very economical price.
The core performance is driven by the large 80mm (3.15") objective lenses, providing plenty of light gathering power to observe fainter celestial objects such as star clusters, nebulae, and even some of the brighter galaxies. These large aperture binoculars perform equally well on brighter objects such as the Moon, providing wonderfully detailed views of lunar craters and mountain ranges.
20x magnification makes these binoculars versatile for just about any type of observing. With binoculars this big and powerful, a tripod is advised. A heavy-duty ¼"-20 threaded adapter is included and does not require any assembly — simply mount the binoculars to your favorite photo or field tripod! The center sliding bar allows you to balance the binoculars as needed, whether you are observing near the horizon or high overhead.
Observing is comfortable, with or without eyeglasses, thanks to 17mm eye relief. And the 3.47° field of view is wide enough to observe larger objects like open clusters and even comets when visible!
Includes tripod adapter (built-in), neck strap, cleaning cloth, and carry pouch.
