This Meade Series 4000 1.25" Telescope Eyepiece and Filter Set is a great way to get started if you have a telescope that either just came with one eyepiece, or you are refurbishing an old telescope that is missing eyepieces and other optical accessories. This comprehensive kit makes accessorizing a snap.
Includes five Meade Series 4000 Plössl Eyepieces in focal lengths of 6mm, 9mm, 13mm, 18mm, and 32mm. Each eyepiece features a standard 1.25" barrel size, with a 52° field of view. This Plössl design is a 4-element optical system made with premium optical glass. All eyepieces feature fully-coated optics for great contrast and light transmission. Each eyepiece also includes a soft rubber eye guard for comfort. This complete kit additionally includes a Meade 2x Barlow lens to double the power of any of the included (or any other 1.25") eyepieces.
In addition, this kit also contains six color filters: Light Red, Dark Yellow, Light Yellow, Dark Blue, Light Blue, and Green. Color filters are a great way of boosting the contrast when observing planets. There is also a Series 4000 ND96 Moon Filter to reduce glare and increase clarity when observing the Moon. Or if you find the brightness of the Moon is just too overwhelming, the ND96 Moon Filter reduces brightness down to a comfortable level.
Finally, all items come in a very nice black carrying case to keep everything clean and well organized. This is truly an instant observing kit, and represents an incredible value over buying even of these items individually.
