The Meade Series 4000 Super Plössl eyepiece line offers precision engineered Meade optics, with a wide field, sharp image, and very satisfying views at a very reasonable cost.
Utilizing precision optical glass, the Series 4000 represents an excellent general-purpose eyepiece. Engineered with a high quality 4-element design and offering a generous 52° apparent field of view (43° for the 40mm), the eyepiece utilizes multi-layer coatings and blackened lens edges for great image sharpness and contrast.
The Series 4000 eyepieces feature a precision made standard 1.25" barrel and fold down rubber eyeguard for comfortable viewing as well as for helping to block stray light. They are parfocal with each other, meaning there will be little to no focus change when switching between eyepieces
The Meade Series 4000 eyepiece is a terrific value and the lowest cost way to expand your range of magnifications with genuine Meade quality optics.
